Catholic bishop warns against attending same-sex weddings:

Bishop Thomas Tobin of Providence, R.I., lamenting the passage of marriage-equality legislation in the state, this week said Catholics risk harming their relationship with God when they attend the weddings of same-sex couples. "Catholics should examine their consciences very carefully before deciding whether or not to endorse same-sex relationships or attend same-sex ceremonies," Tobin wrote in a letter to area Catholics.
