Members of Canadian Pacific's police unit are ramping up monitoring efforts as part of Rail Safety Week. Enforcement activities are part of CP's campaign, particularly along rail crossings, to reduce incidents and educate the public about rail safety. "People routinely try to beat the train because they don't want to wait for five or ten minutes. If you are involved in a collision, your chances aren’t good of not being seriously injured," said Sgt. Dave Mess with the CP Police Service.
