Drone industry looks to dispel negative impressions

The Federal Aviation Administration estimates that 7,500 surveillance drones could be in commercial use over the U.S. in five years, although many localities are passing laws restricting or banning their use. But the drone industry is working to overcome public suspicion of the remotely piloted craft, noting their use in search-and-rescue missions, potential cost savings for surveillance and major opportunities in agriculture, including precision crop dusting.
