Early health choices linked to future cognitive decline

Certain commonly known risk factors for heart disease are also linked to a higher risk of cognitive decline later in life. Just as with cardiovascular problems, choices such as smoking, drinking to excess and physical inactivity early in life lead to increased risk of declining mental abilities at mid-life, research shows.
