La. parish not ready for online exams, official says

As schools in one Louisiana parish prepare for Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers exams, expected to be administered in 2014, officials say they need more technology and infrastructure upgrades to carry out the plan. Instruction supervisor Joe Murphy said recently that the parish's needs include $1.7 million in infrastructure, $4.8 million in devices and $1 million in content -- a portion of which the district hopes to pay for with federal grant funding.
