MGM spent $10M to win Springfield, Mass., casino bid, president says

MGM Resorts International cashed out a total of $10 million in campaigning to secure the $800 million casino project in western Massachusetts, according to MGM President Bill Hornbuckle. MGM will pay Springfield $15 million upon gaining a gaming license and a minimum of $25 million in annual payments once the operation of the resort starts.
