Priceline targets specific needs of mobile users

Priceline's mobile product is designed to serve different needs from those addressed by the company's desktop offering, said a Priceline executive. Noting the on-the-go nature of many mobile users, Chief Product Officer John Caine said, "We took that last-minute, local, late-night profile and we've really positioned our whole mobile product offering to support that use case. So we know who you are, let's give you an option to find a hotel that is very nearby."
