RD says "Facts Up Front" helps shoppers make healthy choices

The "Facts Up Front" icon program launched by the Grocery Manufacturers of America and the Food Marketing Institute includes a website to help shoppers understand the designation and learn to read nutrition-label information. RD Bonnie Taub-Dix writes that while Facts Up Front icons do not tell people what choices to make, they do emphasize key nutrition information that shoppers often ignore.
