Tablet devices won 46% of worldwide views of mobile ads sold via real-time bidding during the first quarter of 2013, according to Accordant Media. The RTB ads were overwhelmingly viewed in applications and were mostly seen on Android-powered tablets. The ad network Adfonic reports RTB ads grew from a sliver of the mobile ad market to a commanding majority during the course of 2012.
