Report: Green building materials market to hit $254B by next decade

The market for green building materials is expected to surpass $254 billion globally by 2020, up from $116 billion this year, according to a Navigant Research report. Such growth would be bolstered by policies and regulations encouraging green construction, as well as market demand for sustainable buildings. It also would be driven by product disclosures supported by green building standards such as LEED and BREEAM, the report says.
