St. Jude proceeds with study of next-gen CRT defibrillator

St. Jude Medical has begun patient enrollment in a U.S. study of its Quadra Assura MP system, a next-generation cardiac resynchronization therapy defibrillator for multipoint pacing. The trial, which will involve more than 500 participants, will test whether the device can be used in patients who may not benefit from or respond to traditional CRT single-point pacing.
