Temasek reportedly is negotiating for Markit stake

Singapore's sovereign-wealth fund, Temasek Holdings, is in advanced talks to acquire a stake in UK data provider Markit Group, sources say. The stake is worth about $500 million. Markit has been looking at its options, including an initial public offering. "Every year, we look carefully at all options available to the company," Markit CEO Lance Uggla said. "We have not made any decision to pursue a public listing."
