Texas district to offer high-school class on U.S. military history

Some students in the Fort Worth, Texas, school district may choose an elective course in U.S. military history in the fall, expanding on such material that is usually just part of social studies courses. Initially, the class will be available only to cadets in the Junior Reserve Officer Training Program, but it may expand in the future. The class, with curriculum developed by Veterans' National Education Program, will begin with the French and Indian War, and will continue through current military operations.
