Walgreens achieves high proportion of traffic from mobile, aims for more

About 40% of Walgreens' online traffic originates from mobile devices, including 10% from tablets, and the retailer is seeking to boost those proportions, said Tim McCauley, senior director of mobile commerce. In that regard, he said, Apple’s Passbook application has helped Walgreens win many new users and engage them more effectively with geotargeting.
