Can e-readers save the newspaper industry?

Amazon this week reportedly is releasing a version of its Kindle e-reader featuring a bigger screen that will optimize electronic delivery of magazines and newspapers. News Corp., Hearst and startup Plastic Logic also have rival e-readers in development for release in the next year, according to this article.
