Hearst adopts AOL's new large-format ad unit

Hearst Corp. is signing on to use a large format interactive ad developed by AOL's display unit Pictela under the name "Project Devil." The move makes Hearst the first third-party company to utilize the large format ad unit. The ads will appear across a range of publications, including Cosmopolitan.com and Esquire.com. The new ad unit is approved by IAB and is known as the IAB Portrait.
