Marketers underwrite premium-content freebies

Premium digital content is available to more consumers thanks to sponsors, the latest of which is backing by Jack Link's jerky for a package of Hulu Plus shows this week on Xbox Live. Other recent examples include Ford's recent backing for online subscriptions to The New York Times. The idea is to appeal to consumers by offering genuinely valuable rewards for their attention.
