Paid digital subscribers offset decline in WSJ print circulation

The Wall Street Journal reported a 22% increase in the number of paid subscribers to its online edition over the six-month period that ended in March. The 500,000 readers who choose digital access only through the Journal's pay wall still pales in comparison with the 1.6 million who receive a print issue. Print circulation was down about 4%.
