Bubbles may hold the key to figuring out dark matter

Scientists in Ontario, Canada, hope bubbles will help them study dark matter. In an underground chamber, researchers mixed purified water and CF3I, which is used in fire extinguishers. When dark matter hits a particle in the detector, it will create bubbles. A few bubbles have already formed but it's too early to tell if it was caused by dark matter, COUPP-60 project researchers said.
