Can Bangladesh's garment factories learn from Vietnam?

The recent building collapse in Bangladesh that left more than 500 dead at last count highlights the difference between the textile factories there and the ones in Vietnam, where the industry is working to build a lasting reputation for quality, experts say. Wages in Vietnam garment factories -- which produce clothing for retailers including Zara, Mango and H&M -- are three times those in Bangladesh, conditions have improved, and garment exports rose 18.3% in the first quarter.
