More pediatric dialysis patients in U.S. are surviving

The odds of dying from all causes and cardiac- and infection-linked causes among patients with kidney failure younger than 21 on dialysis substantially declined between 1990 and 2010, according to a study in the Journal of the American Medical Association. It is possible that better pre-dialysis care, technological innovations or other factors played a role, researchers said.
