Pa. city council authorizes ads on municipal properties

The Philadelphia City Council has approved a plan to raise extra revenue by allowing advertising on city buildings and vehicles. "I'd just like to see us move ahead ... and start bringing in some much-needed revenue," council President Darrell Clarke said, adding that the plan could generate millions of dollars annually.
