A quick trick for performing better in stressful situations

People who wrote an essay about one of their personal values before completing a series of tests performed better in a recent experiment than those who didn't. The findings suggest people should take a moment to think about something important in their life before entering a stressful situation, said lead author J. David Creswell, an associate professor at Carnegie Mellon University.
