The shale natural gas boom is reinvigorating U.S. manufacturing, as demonstrated by Royal Dutch Shell's proposed $2 billion plant in Pennsylvania and Methanex's decision to relocate facilities from Chile to Louisiana, writes former Maryland Gov. Robert Ehrlich. "America's intellectual capital and a shale gas revolution are rejuvenating our industrial infrastructure. We may not revisit the halcyon days of the 1950s, but Americans should never lose sight of our considerable advantages when competing against the world," Ehrlich writes.
