In some parts of India, education remains a struggle

Despite India's Right to Education Act, which took effect in March promising a free, compulsory education to all students, many pupils -- especially in poor, rural areas -- continue to learn in conditions unequal with their peers. One shop owner in New Delhi has opened an open-air school under a bridge for pupils, who study everything from reading and writing to advanced maths.
