Texas chefs have long been adding their own interpretations to traditional Tex-Mex food, calling it "Texas chic." Some examples from Texas chic chef Dean Fearing: Flash-seared five-Spice hamachi with avocado wasabi cream; Spicy ponzu; and Jade basil salad.
