Senate Finance Committee opens debate over health reform

Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., took the middle ground in a Senate Finance Committee forum on a government-run, public insurance option. The issue is proving to be the biggest sticking point in the debate over health care reform. "The bottom line is you need somebody who is not a private insurance company to be in the mix," Schumer said.
