2 trials evaluate risk of lowering oxygen saturation targets

Two studies presented at a pediatric conference reached differing conclusions about the mortality and disability risks of lowering standard oxygen saturation targets for preterm infants. The Canadian Oxygen Trial published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found no significant effect, but the BOOST II study in the New England Journal of Medicine found a higher death rate.
