3D printing goes big-box and mainstream

3D printing is entering the big-box consumer economy as some Staples outlets are now stocking 3D Systems' Cube printer for $1,299. The printer comes fully assembled and can print in 16 colors a piece up to 5.5 x 5.5 x 5.5 inches. "This is a huge step toward making 3D printers common," said technology consultant Rob Enderle of the Enderle Group.
