AAFP is part of coalition urging SGR repeal, value-based pay

The AAFP signed a National Coalition on Health Care letter to congressional leaders urging bipartisan action to repeal the sustainable growth rate formula and move Medicare to a value-based payment model. The letter said Medicare must lead changes in health care toward "delivery and payment approaches focused on value, including but not limited to value- and quality-based payment, patient-centered medical homes and accountable care."
