AAP approves guidelines for treating pediatric acne

The AAP has endorsed the American Acne and Rosacea Society's clinical guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric acne after conducting a literature review. Among the options recommended for acne treatment were topical benzoyl peroxide, oral antibiotics and hormonal therapy. The AAP review was published in Pediatrics.
