Algorithms might help identify undiagnosed cases of diabetes

A collaboration among Philadelphia's Independence Blue Cross, New York University and NYU Langone Medical Center aims to identify undiagnosed diabetes in patients by using machine-learning algorithms. According to the American Diabetes Association, one-third of the 25 million Americans with diabetes are unaware they have the disease.
