Bangladesh encourages drug imports into the Philippines

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged the Philippines to expand imports of Bangladeshi pharmaceutical products as a means of lowering drug costs and making health care more affordable. The prime minister made the comments during a farewell call by the outgoing Filipino ambassador to Bangladesh. Hasina also called for regular meetings of the Joint Trade Commission between Bangladesh and the Philippines to continue enhancing bilateral trade.
