Brazil is developing new guidelines for excipients

Brazilian regulator Anvisa is expected to release revised excipient guidelines this year, according to David Schoneker, director of global regulatory affairs at Colorcon. Pharmaceutical companies have found the difference between retest and expiration dates to be confusing; retesting intervals are normally a fraction of expiration intervals. Argentina is also developing regulations for excipients.
