Diner chain's menu goes 10% vegan

The Silver Diner chain's 14 restaurants in Maryland and Virginia have always offered a more upscale menu than their peers, and the brand has taken it further with a new vegan menu. The nine new dishes including a pesto vegetable salad and a milkshake made with soy ice cream mean the diner's menu is now 10% vegan, with chef Ype Von Hengst focused on veggie-centric dishes instead of experimenting with "fake meat."
