Food Network puts focus on childhood hunger as top cause

Food Network, which is being honored on Thursday by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for its documentary "Hunger Hits Home," has made a priority of fighting childhood hunger. The network helps support Share Our Strength by providing financial support and producing PSAs for the U.S.-based group. The network also sponsors the annual New York City Wine and Food Festival, which brings in more than $1 million each year for Share Our Strength and the Food Bank For New York City.
