Gang members turn to social networks to brag, study shows

North American gang members increasingly are using social media to bolster their reputations, sharing videos bragging about their exploits and even posting their own mugshots, according to a study of delinquent youths. The groups' use of sites such as Facebook as an "electronic graffiti wall" is proving a boon for police, who can monitor online chatter.
