Intel: Atom chips refute the "myth" about ARM processors

Intel is touting the virtues of its impending Atom chips, including five times better power efficiency and three times more speed. Chief Product Officer Dadi Perlmutter says the "Silvermont" chips shatter the "myth" that ARM processors are more power efficient than Intel chips. The chips are good news to customers such as Facebook that rely on Intel's microprocessor customization abilities and often play a role in chip development, Cade Metz writes.
