Japan signs nuclear construction deal with Turkey

Japan and Turkey signed a $22 billion deal for the construction of Turkey's second nuclear plant. Under the terms, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Itochu and GDF Suez will develop a 4,800-megawatt facility in Sinop, a city on the Black Sea coast. "This deal is also the first step for Turkey's third nuclear power plant, which will be a Turkish engineering effort," said Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan.
