Nurse-led diabetes programs yield positive outcomes

Diabetes patients who underwent a nurse-led diabetes intervention attained significant reductions in glycosylated hemoglobin A1C and fasting home glucose levels at one year, a study indicated. Patients who also received self-management training showed greater decreases in A1C levels, researchers reported at the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists meeting.
