Qualcomm Life expands network with HealthyCircles acquisition

Qualcomm Life has expanded with the acquisition of software-as-a-service startup HealthyCircles. Qualcomm Life's 2net Life wireless health platform and HealthyCircles' HIPAA-compliant data-sharing software will be offered individually and in combination, which could help hospitals that seek assistance from accountable care organizations and home care providers to reduce patient readmissions. Qualcomm intends to remain a "back-end technology" company providing platforms on which health care companies can build, Vice President Rick Valencia said.
