EU delays ruling on biotech crop cultivation

The European Union on Wednesday delayed its ruling on whether to allow the cultivation of three biotech crops: Syngenta AG's Bt-11 corn seed, Pioneer Hi-Bred and Dow Agrosciences' corn 1507 and BASF SE's Amflora potato. The EU has asked the European Food Safety Authority to perform more safety tests before it can make a decision.
