Report: Consumer telehealth device industry is booming

A new report estimates that shipments of electronic blood-glucose meters, pulse oximeters and other in-home telehealth devices will reach 2 million by 2013. "These services are likely to be subscription-based and will coincide with the popularity of Internet health products such as Google Health or Microsoft's Health Vault," said a market research analyst for InMedica, which produced the report.
