KTUU, the NBC affiliate in Anchorage, Alaska, and most of the state's TV broadcasters are asking the Federal Communications Commission to impose equal access conditions if it grants approval for cabler General Communication Inc. to buy CBS affiliate KTVA. Broadcasters are concerned that GCI will give preference to its own content. "Competition that is structured to squeeze someone out is not competition," said Andrew MacLeod of KTUU owner Northern Lights Media. A GCI spokesman said the proposed acquisition would provide "more coverage of local Alaska."
