Aurora, Colo., to assess emergency response to theater tragedy

The Aurora, Colo., City Council approved spending up to $249,000 to study the city's emergency response to July's theater shooting, looking for best practices, areas that need work and lessons learned. “First responders haven’t had a chance to heal yet because their story hasn’t been told yet,” said Mayor Steve Hogan, noting the study is a first step in that effort.
