Brain mapping initiative gets underway with brainstorming session

The federal government and 150 neuroscientists are beginning to map out plans for the Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies Initiative. After a meeting this week in Virginia, the researchers are working on goals for the initiative including developing better models of the brain and preparing to deal with the amount of data the research will produce. The group will soon collect public input through a new website.
