Brands buy ads to trumpet their Tumblr efforts

Brands are touting their Tumblr accounts in their paid TV and digital advertising, just as they once did with Facebook. Champs Sports expects this month to run the first TV ad to include a Tumblr address, Calvin Klein has added Tumblr information to its display ads and a General Electric exec says the company is considering a similar move. "It's something we are open to. I think it's a great direction," says GE digital marketing manager Katrina Craigwell.
