Coca-Cola is a partner in aviation biofuel project

Coca-Cola is one of the companies behind Wisconsin-based Virent, which has sent a batch of its renewable jet fuel to the U.S. Air Force for testing. The multi-feedstock capability of Virent's technology is in line with the Obama administration's objective of encouraging feedstock flexibility, the company said. Other strategic partners in Virent are Cargill, Honda Motor and Royal Dutch Shell.
