Dominion seeks NRC OK for use of warmer water at Conn. plant

Dominion Resources is seeking the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's permission to potentially use warmer water from Long Island Sound at its Millstone nuclear plant in Connecticut. Last summer, Dominion took the plant offline because the estuary's water became warmer than 75 degrees Fahrenheit. The use of water at 80 degrees "gives us more margin," said Ken Holt, a company spokesman.
