Economist: Corn crop will likely meet demand, restock

Analysts will continue to closely monitor reports from the Department of Agriculture on the progress of corn planting, which could offer clues about this year's production, writes economist Darrel Good. The pace of corn consumption will also offer clues to demand. "With improving weather conditions, current expectations are for a crop that will be large enough to meet consumption needs and lead to some build-up of stocks next year," he writes.
